An Instinct Born in the Field (1956–1966)

It all began in 1956, when Éric Verdavainne settled in Casablanca to work as a sales representative. As he made his rounds among the industrialists of the day, he noticed a striking paradox: a country rich in talent, workshops, and expertise, yet whose businesses remained largely invisible to one another, lacking any way to be seen or found.

That observation turned into action ten years later. 1966 saw the birth of the first sector-specific directories, bearing names that would leave their mark on generations of Moroccan business leaders to come: Kompass, Télécontact, Veto, Archibat, Ekipotel, Best of Morocco. Far from simple contact listings, these publications organized entire industries, from hospitality to construction, laying the groundwork over the years for the country's first major professional directory.

A New Ambition, Driven by Data (2002–2018)

In 2002, after selling off his original ventures, Éric Verdavainne chose to start a new chapter, founding Kerix with a broader ambition: to give businesses verified, organized information they could put directly to work in their commercial decisions.

This transformation took shape in 2015 with the launch of Kerix.net, a B2B platform designed for professional buyers who want immediate access to verified information. Three years later, in 2018, the group left print behind for good: not under pressure from the digital shift, but by deliberate choice, to offer data that is continuously updated and accessible anywhere, at any hour.

An Ecosystem Built for Moroccan Businesses

Today, six decades after Éric Verdavainne's first steps, the Kerix Group operates a network of complementary platforms, all dedicated to connecting Moroccan businesses with their future partners, in Morocco and beyond:

Kerix.net : The leading B2B supplier search platform in Morocco, with more than 30,000 company profiles and 500,000 visitors every month.

Kerix-export.net : A window onto international markets, showcasing more than 2,000 Moroccan exporters seeking opportunities abroad.

Maroc1000.net : An observatory of the Kingdom's leading companies, profiling more than 2,000 businesses with annual revenue exceeding 100 million dirhams.

ExpoMaroc.ma : A visual archive of Morocco's trade shows, with more than 3,000 exhibition stands filmed since 2016.

Ekipotel.net : A specialized directory of suppliers for the hotel, restaurant, and hospitality (CHR) sector.

All these platforms share the same foundation: free access for users and systematic information verification by a dedicated editorial team, in full compliance with Moroccan data protection regulations (CNDP). It's what sets Kerix apart from a general search engine.

Made in Morocco: Recognition That Cements Moroccan Roots

2026 adds a new chapter to this journey: sixty years after launching its first directories, the Kerix Group has been awarded the Made in Morocco label by the APMM (Association Professionnelle des Marques Marocaines), covering its four platforms (Kerix.net, ExpoMaroc.ma, Kerix-export.net, and Maroc1000.net). This recognition celebrates work carried out from Morocco, by Moroccan teams, with expertise built entirely in-house.

Our mission

The medium has changed, from printed directory to online database, but the goal has never wavered: to help every Moroccan business be found by the ones who need it, and to connect the national economy with international markets. It's this principle, inherited from 1966, that the Kerix Group continues to put to work for the Kingdom's businesses, every single day.
